I’m always amazed how God is using the partnership of our friends to do great things in evangelism through Amazing Facts.
Together, we have ventured into battle to rescue captives … braving the front lines for people like Brandon.
In a recent letter, Brandon wrote that he had been living a life held hostage by drugs, alcohol, diabolical music, and other destructive habits. But he knew God was knocking on the door of his heart.
Then a woman knocked on the door of his home — a woman who was willing to be “a front liner” for evangelism and share the gospel with a captive stranger. She simply handed Brandon a Final Events DVD and invited him to church. Brandon writes,
“As I watched Final Events, it answered so many questions that I could not find on my own. Thanks to people like Doug Batchelor, I have found the truth. With [my church class] and Amazing Fact Study Guides, I will be able to learn and share the truth with others.”
That’s music to my ears! Go Brandon! We need a lot more people who want to do something to reach others.
His story is literally one of thousands that illustrate why 2008 has been a life-changing year of ministry. Our ministry friends have played a key role in these spiritual victories through prayers and financial support. And all of us at Amazing Facts are deeply grateful that you have chosen to be a front liner!
But as we enter 2009, we cannot retreat to the shadows. We’re still called up to the front lines of spiritual battle. Why? Because that old terrorist, called Satan, is still seeking to devour every person he can lay his hands on through distortions of Bible truth, family conflicts, addictions, idolatry — to name just a few. He knows that time is short before Christ returns. (See Revelation 12:12.) So he and his evil minions are using every means possible to spread confusion about God, burying the truth under a blizzard of lies!
We must melt these deceptions with the light of God’s Word! It is the Lord’s will that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9), yet every day, millions of lost souls pass into eternity unprepared. So I’m asking you to be a “front liner” to win souls for Christ in 2009. You can do this through your personal witness for Christ and your financial support of Amazing Facts.
Here’s the battle plan …
First, your enlistment as a “front liner” is vital to victory. We simply can’t do it without you. No battle was ever won from the comforts of home! Jesus sent His disciples out two-by-two in to the villages to proclaim the good news of the kingdom on the streets, in the synagogues, and in homes.
The front line of today’s spiritual battle is sharing the everlasting gospel with families, co-workers, and neighbors who do not know the Christ of the Bible. And I want to help you do that this year with some very new and exciting witnessing tools.
Health Truth: In March, we’ll publish our first-ever evangelistic health magazine — called Amazing Health: 7 Bible Secrets to Living a Stronger and Longer Life. It will be a wonderful way to share your faith and open up a conversation about God’s plan for physical and spiritual health.
Cosmic Conflict: This spring, Amazing Facts will release the Cosmic Conflict DVD — the long-awaited, full-length video series that will bring to life the great controversy between Christ and Satan. This DVD will open many doors to share your faith and explain God’s plan of salvation.
Empowered Church: As a pastor, I can’t tell you how important it is to pray for your pastor and uphold him in this spiritual battle. Amazing Facts wants to help mobilize and equip your congregation for evangelism. The Empowered Church program is like lifting the hands of pastors across the country. They can’t do it all on their own, so this program provides resources to train and mobilize an entire congregation for local evangelism.
AFCOE to Go: Third, we must train the troops! That’s why we are bringing an Amazing Facts Center of Evangelism (AFCOE) course to you in the form of a one-week intensive training session called AFCOE to Go. In 2009, our goal is to do several of these week-long training sessions regionally around the country. The demand for this evangelism training is huge, especially from people who want to learn how to be effective witnesses for Christ in the workplace. Publishing and Media: Finally, we must keep the supply lines open! No army can fight effectively without weapons, ammunition, and food! In battle, for every soldier on the front lines, there might be three or four others supporting him. That’s why we cannot let up in our television, radio, and internet ministries. These outreaches are an “air force” that provides a covering of gospel proclamation to reach the masses. And, as God provides, the Amazing Facts Bible School will support these efforts by providing new believers an easy way to begin studying Scripture for themselves.
I hope you can see how 2009 could be one of the most fruitful years of ministry ever — but only if we go to the “front lines” of evangelism together.
