It’s easy to see a principle I like to call the cycle of evangelism at work all through the Scriptures, especially when we read about our Savior’s great invitation and great commission:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

… and ...

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 11:28; 28:19).

Before we can begin to win souls, we must first “come to” Jesus and live. But as soon as we are established in the faith, Jesus wants us to “go ye therefore” to reach and teach others in His name.

That’s why Jesus called the disciples unto Him, trained them for the work, and then sent them out to bring new souls back to Him.

This is how real evangelism should work.

And the Bible is filled with examples of this principle. When the demoniac came to Jesus and was healed, the next thing Jesus did was to send him out to reach others. When the Samaritan woman came to Jesus at the well, she immediately went to tell others about Jesus, bringing a whole town to Christ (Luke 8:39; John 4:29, 30).

This is how every converted heart should respond to the gospel!

The Full Cycle of Evangelism
One of the things that most excites me most about Amazing Facts is our desire — and our capacity — to help fulfill both of these important missions of in-reach and outreach. Not only do we help thousands “come unto” Jesus through our many evangelistic programs, we also then train many to “go ye therefore” and do their own outreach.

We recently saw this principle at work within our very own ranks too, as five Amazing Facts workers were formally ordained to gospel ministry. It was a phenomenal blessing!

What I found so stirring at this event is when we heard the testimonies of the candidates. You see, each of them had also been touched by this ministry, whether through an evangelistic series, a broadcast, or by our website. They began their search for Christ and found answers because supporters like you care enough to make our message available.

This ordination event was an awesome demonstration of the circle of evangelism. That is what Amazing Facts does, day in and day out, so long as we have friends like you who will continue to pray and sacrificially give to keep the evangelism cycle going!

Connecting the Spiritual Dots
Amazing Facts’ biggest evangelistic effort is our weekly media broadcasts — not to mention the most expensive!

But these programs, seen around the world, are often just the first link in the cycle of evangelism. In fact, when someone contacts us after watching our programs, we often connect them to a local prophecy meeting conducted by one of our team of evangelists.

Our fulltime evangelists do about 40 meetings nationwide and around the world annually. Hundreds are baptized each year as a result — and they are connected to their local church so they can continue to grow in Christ!

Is it any wonder then why we invest a portion of your love gifts into this vital ministry?

Evangelism Paramedics
Once I was attending a public function when someone collapsed from a heart attack. Everyone prayed and watched anxiously as a paramedic fought to jumpstart his heart by manually pumping his chest and breathing air into his lungs. Praise God, he was revived!

In the very same way, as you support Amazing Facts with your funds and your prayers, you will be filling the hearts and minds of others with new life. And those blessings you share will cycle back to you! God promises, “The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself” (Proverbs 11:25).

God uses Amazing Facts every day to take souls lost in darkness and transform them not only into saved children of God — but workers who go out and preach in His name. Each year, this ministry invests $400,000 in keeping our evangelists out on the road. I have seen the exponential evangelism equation at work at Amazing Facts time and again. I don’t want this cycle to end. Do you?

So whether you can give $15, $25, $50, or $100 or more to support this evangelism ministry, God can use it to grow His kingdom exponentially. I’m only praying that you ask what Jesus would have you do to make a difference through your gift this month — and I ask that you pray for our evangelists, as they are out on the frontlines fishing for men!

Remember that the key to all life is the ongoing cycle of receiving and giving. This is also the key to Amazing Facts surviving and thriving in 2010. As we receive support from our friends, we convert these funds into soul-winning programs.

I am so thankful I can count on Jesus and people like you as partners in this ongoing work of evangelism!
